Absent Rainbows

For some reason I haven't been able to log into my blog for quite a while and I have been taking a few random photos my heart hasn't really been in it. As long as I can sign in tomorrow I will be back with a new photo then.

This is the photo that started me thinking that something was trying to tell me that everything was going to be ok. On Sunday the 13th of June 2010 we were on our way to Mum and Dad's place . My Brother and I were going to Sydney Airport on Monday the 14th to pick up Mum and Dad. On the way this rainbow followed us for about an hour of the 2 1/2 hour trip.

Happy Mother's Day (to me)

I was totally spoilt today.
My idea of a perfect Mother's Day. Woken by all the members of my family who joined me in bed for cuddles.Chocolate before breakfast. Then a rainbow cupcake.Homemade card and home grown flowers. A new magazine to read and some yummy truffles. Then I was given a homemade bird feeder.

Rainbow Lorikeet visitors.

From about 8.30 am til 12.30pm today, I had a pair of rainbow lorikeets visiting me. The bird feeder is 1.5m from my front door. They gave off a happy vibe.with their chittering and chattering, trilling and whistling. Sometimes it almost sounded like they were talking to each other.

Rain, Rain Go Away

Rain, Rain go away ... and bring me a rainbow.

After a day of storms I had a feeling there was going to be a rainbow after the rain had cleared. We were sitting in the car after finishing the grocery shopping and what did I see - a huge complete double rainbow but as I didn't remember the camera we only got a shot on our mobile. Not the best photo's but gorgeous all the same.

Welcome to Chasing Rainbows....

Welcome to my new blog, Chasing Rainbows.

About 10 months ago my life changed in one phonecall. At 3am the phone rang. It was my Mum. My Dad who was travelling around America had, had a heart attack and needed surgery. Triple bypass and a new valve. The weeks that followed were filled with many car trips and every single time we visited their house somehow a rainbow was there. It became a symbol that everything was going to be ok. Since then I see rainbows everywhere.
